Holiday Gift Guide: For the Kiddos

Gift ideas for kids

Oh my gosh, did you watch Adele’s concert on nbc last night? I’m up way past my bedtime finishing this post (especially since Lawson woke up at 5:30 this morning and refused to nap all day), but it was worth it. I’m sure it’s no coincidence she released her US tour dates for 2016 yesterday. I saw her in concert 5 years ago and would love to see her again next year. 2016 goals!

Okay, on to today’s gift guide. I found so many ideas for kiddos that I split them into two posts (see the other one here). Some of these are on Lawson’s wish list this year and others will be in the future when he gets a little older. My personal rule when it comes to giving gifts to kids is no more than 3 items: a book, article of clothing and a toy. I’ll confess…shopping for books is actually my favorite!

one: tic tac toe is a great game to occupy the kiddos on a road trip or while waiting for dinner. why use the old school paper and pen when you can have a magnetic tic tac toe game?!

two: do you have a little adventurer on your list? I adore these alphabet adventure cards and can’t wait for Lawson to be ready to use them (there’s an adventure number set too).

three: the wee workout baby gym would look great in any modern nursery. choose from car or animal rattles.

four: what little boy doesn’t love fire trucks? this wooden fire engine would be such fun. the fire station is pretty fantastic too.

five: make bath time fun with these monster trucks. these are on Lawson’s wish list this year!

six: playful has 26 unique, modern projects for adults and children to do together. from puppets to pinatas, there’s lots of fun to be had!

seven: the message behind the love your melon beanie will warm your heart this holiday season. started by 2 college kids in minnesota, love your melon aims to gift one hat to every child battling cancer in the us. gifts that do good are a great way to give!

eight: how fun is this silicone coloring placemat? it comes with 4 dry erase markers so you can use it again and again. choose from a handful of cities or animals, a circus and treasure chest.

nine: for the little chef, a kids apron and utensils will make them feel official.

ten: is it wrong if I kinda want to read the adventures of beekle: the unimaginary friend myself? it’s won a ton of awards and gets great reviews.
