Happy Halloween! Did you have a good weekend? We visited a pumpkin patch on Saturday morning. It was fun, but hot. Lawson picked out his own little pumpkin, which was really cute. Yesterday morning we went on a long, 4-mile walk. I couldn’t believe how much it tired me out. I had to follow it up with an afternoon nap.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is 24 days away and it’s just 55 days until Christmas? This is one of my favorite stretches of the year. It’s such a festive time. The holidays bring parties, visits to family and maybe even a vacation. I thought I’d round up some hostess gifts, both those you can bring to others or have stocked if you’re the one doing the hosting.

My go to hostess gifts are local favorites, whether it’s a candle, goat milk caramels or special sea salt. I also love the idea of stocking a cozy pair of wool socks for guests. Wouldn’t you love to arrive after a long day of traveling to put on some cozy socks?! How fun would it be to have a modern day polaroid camera for your guests to use, especially those with kids? Such a great way for them to explore. It would also be fun to bring to a holiday party!

It’s hard to go wrong with a bottle of wine. Pair it with wine glass markers that can be used that night for an extra touch. If you know the hostess well, a beautiful cookbook is a great gift. I love to use mine as coffee table books. Personally, I’d love a luxe hand soap with pretty packaging that can be used long after the party ends.
