Most Important Meal of the Day

My Fit Foods

As I mentioned last week, eating a daily breakfast is one of my intentions in 2014 (see the full list here). A key to success is access to healthy and easy options. Over the next couple of weeks, I plan on sharing a few items to start off your day right!

Last year I tried My Fit Foods, which provides fresh and healthy meals at an affordable price. And the breakfasts just happen to be my favorites! All the meals are made fresh and packaged in a plastic container that can be thrown in the microwave according to the instructions on the package.  I typically place my order on Friday for the following week and include 2-3 breakfast meals and 2 snacks (with an occasional lunch thrown in too).  My favorites are the Good Morning Sunshine (includes a little bit of spice to start off your day) and H-Town Breakfast.  Most of the meals come in 3 sizes: small, medium and large. The small size is perfect for me. My Fit Foods also has 3 and 21-day full meal challenges if you’re looking for a kick start in the new year; they offer many gluten-free options too.  Currently, My Fit Foods is limited to California, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois, but they are expanding and similar options can likely be found in your area too!

You might want to try making a batch of steel cut oats and refrigerating it in serving size containers. I will make a double batch at one time and it keeps for a couple of weeks to grab for Dave & I.

That’s a great idea, thanks for the tip! Do you put anything in the oats?
