Weekend Roundup

SJP

Did you hear Sarah Jessica Parker is partnering with Nordstrom to launch her own shoe line, SJP? Honestly, I’m a little surprised it’s taken this long. The shoes will be available in a few select stores (none in Arizona) and online beginning February 28th. They are still a little pricey for me, but I’m interested to see if they’ll be worth a splurge! And I do love her style.

This weekend I am…

  • running Ragnar del Sol (read more here and here)…the weather should be perfect!
  • resting my weary legs on Sunday while drinking a glass of wine (or a beer and nachos depending on my mood)
  • trying out this lasagna recipe I saw in the most recent issue of Self magazine
  • enjoying the last few days of the Olympics

Landed on the Super Skyscrapers PBS series this week while randomly flipping channels during a break from Olympic figure skating coverage.  The episode was about Shanghai Tower, a collection of businesses, hotels and parks. Yes, parks inside a skyscraper. It was fascinating (and the images of the engineer checking the bolts 100’s of stories above ground made me nauseous just sitting on my couch!).

And last, but definitely not to be missed, did you know it is National Margarita Day tomorrow?! Neither did I before reading Victoria’s post from earlier this week with her recipe for the best margaritas. I’m so glad she alerted me to the importance of the day. I am always ready for an excuse for a margarita and chips and guacamole!  Happy National Margarita Day!
