Weekend Roundup

quote

Yay for Friday! Don’t you love a short week? I’m excited to attend my first AZ Blogger Meetup tomorrow and welcome my mom for a visit on Sunday. The next best thing to going home is having your mom come to you! Some links for your reading pleasure…

  • We watched a documentary, Mile/Mile and a Half, recently about five friends hiking the John Muir Trail. The photography and scenery were amazing. While I love a good luxury hotel, there’s something about nature that is so beautiful and inspiring.
  • I saw these cute pencil pouches at Anthropologie yesterday. The turquoise is my favorite, but I’d happily take any of them.
  • There was a recent article in the Wall Street Journal about consumers changing from buying “fast fashion” to focusing on more expensive pieces that are higher quality. It made me think about my own closet and investing in some key basics that I could wear for years.
  • This week I stumbled upon a new blog, Stylish Petite. Annie mixes H&M and higher end items with ease. I immediately went out to find this blazer that she’s featured a couple times. (I realize this goes against the point above, but I read that article afterwards :))

Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading!
