How to Pack for a Beach Vacation
Happy Monday! While most of the US is headed into winter, I’m lucky to be taking a pre-Christmas trip to Hawaii for some time in the sun and sand. A little babymoon of sorts. I always carry on my luggage, but it can be difficult to narrow down your wardrobe to those essentials for a weeklong beach vacation. Here’s how to pack for a beach vacation, pregnancy or not.
for the flight: a pair of comfy leggings (non-maternity here), a long sleeved tee and sweater to keep warm and a tote that can double as a beach bag
for the beach: a classic black bikini, sunglasses and a fedora
shoes: favorite flip flops, sandals in a neutral shade (less expensive option here) and heels to pair with a dress, jeans or shorts
tops: drapey tank tops in neutrals (black and white), a graphic tee (also love these), chambray shirt (can be worn alone with jeans and shorts or over a tee and tank) and a basic grey tee
bottoms: white jeans to show off your tan (maternity option here) and a pair of denim shorts (non-maternity these)
dresses: three maxi dresses in a variety of neutrals (black, navy (or green) and navy/grey striped) and a black dress for going out
active: 2-3 tanks and pairs of these and nike frees (lightweight and easy to pack)
accessories: don’t leave home without your leopard clutch and a dainty ring and necklace (leave the statement jewelry at home for this trip)
