After a recent weekend where we found ourselves eating out for each meal, I decided to get serious about meal planning. I had been in the habit of going to the grocery store on Sunday or Monday and getting a few things for the week, but we’d be out of food and ideas by the weekend. Since going to the grocery store isn’t one of our favorite activities, we’d opt for eating out instead. So I tried a new tactic of coming up with dinners for a full 7 days. I usually include one night out and 1-2 nights of eating leftovers. After a couple of weeks on this plan, I’m happy to report we’re eating at home more with healthier options!
To get out of my rut of struggling to come up with dinners, I’ve been looking back through my “eat & drink” Pinterest board.
